3rd Day - Bohol (Sea Tour)

So its our 3rd day here in Bohol, we've seen the city and its other famous tourist spots what we haven't ventured yet is it's clear waters. Our itinerary for today is do island hopping and enjoy the pristine white sand and calm waters.

4 am and we're awake, the resort called us at around 5 am for our breakfast buffet so we can prep up for our sea tour by 6 am. Our boat arrived around 5:30 am.

Our first stop was to watch Dolphins, but in turned out to be a Dolphin chase instead. Coz the dolphins kept changing course whenever the boat was near, they hide instantly. Here's a short video for our dolphin chase.

After the dolphins we went to Balicasag Island to do some snorkeling. (Tip: Whenever you're going to the beach make sure you're all prep up specially with the materials needed so you can totally enjoy the beach and no hassle for renting materials which are already used by other people, e.g. goggles for snorkeling and swim shoes)

Renting fee costs:
Goggles - 150/each
Shoes - 150/each
Boat ride - 200/each
for an hour and a half we've stayed there snorkeling and making friends not only with the fishes but also with the other tourists there. :)

Next stop was at Virgin Island, it is not totally an island it is only a sand bar.

2nd day - Bohol (Day Tour)

2nd day in Bohol, thank God for the wonderful site. Clear water, fresh air, nature around us, good foods and moments spent with the ones you love. :)
Woke up at around 5 am, had free breakfast, packed some foods for the trip and waited for our van to arrive. Left the resort at 9 am, first itinerary was at Chocolate Hills.

1. Chocolate Hills

Don't expect seeing a bunch of chocolate coated hills when you get here, ever since the quake that startled the place last year (2013), the church at the top was destroyed by it and can only see the ruins. You won't be seeing much of the hills either, these are probably one of the goods shots we had when we were there.
FYI to all who are visiting here, be sure to bring a water and a hat coz the weather is extremely hot and there's no shade at the peak, plus you will be climbing a 215 steps on the way to the top and another 215 steps going down.
Entrance fee is at 60php.

2. Habitat - Butterfly Garden

Just the usual butterfly garden tour, but you'll be amazed with the puppa and the other stuffs in there.
Entrance fee at 40php.

3. Bilar Man-Made Forest

This is a man made mahogany forest, planted by boy scouts since 1952. Vehicle passes on this route on the way to Chocolate Hills.

4. Tarsier Conservation Area

Tarsiers (Mitngaw: tagalog) are nocturnal animals that lives in the forest. They are very rare now and very hard to spot on. They're so tiny you can never notice them.
These animals likes to live alone and are suicidal once they got depressed they bang their head to death or sometimes stop their breathing. They don't like lights and noise.
Entrance fee is at 60php.

5. Loboc Church

Second oldest church in the Philippines, Loboc church was one of the many churches in Visayas that was devastated by the magnitude 7.2 quake that hit last year (2013).
See Loboc Church before the quake.

6. Loboc River Cruise

One of the famous tourists spots in Bohol, the Loboc River Cruise. Place where you can dine then cruise after. There are local people that performs along the way, you're sure going to enjoy this tour.
Entrance fee is at 450

7. Baclayon Church

Known for its historic Catholic Church, also one of the many churches in Bohol that was devastated by the 7.2 magnitude quake last year (2013).
Built in 1724 having Spanish Colonial architecture, the rubbles left of this church are also the materials that are going to use to rebuild this church.
There is a museum inside having relics from the 16 century.
Entrance fee is at 50php (museum) there is also a souvenir shop at the corner.

8. Blood Compact Site (Sandugo)

Treaty performed between Spanish explorer Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Datu Sikatuna to seal the friendship between Spaniards and Filipinos.

The blood compact site was our last destination for the whole day tour, after taking pictures here at the site there is a souvenir shop at the corner where you can buy a lot of stuffs for pasalubong. :)

Bohol Trip 2014

Flying with Air Asia Zest
First time to ever ride a plane and my very first destination will be at Tagbilaran, Bohol.
view from my window

April 21 of Monday around 5 am was our flight from Manila to Tagbilaran, we were at NAIA terminal 3: Domestic terminal 2 hours ahead our scheduled flight. I was with my dad and two brothers for a business trip (slash) vacation get-away. My brother booked the flights months before and we got a promo package at Air Asia Zest and another promo package for our hotel we'll be staying at in Panglao.

Tagbilaran Airport Terminal
When we arrived at Tagbilaran Airport, we went straight to ICM (their only mall in the area) where dad has a project (one of the reason why we're in Bohol). Since we had an early flight, the travel was only hours away and we arrived there at around 7 am, since checking time at our hotel is still at 1 pm, we had to wait and tour around for ourselves to kill time.

Checked-in at Bohol Bee Farm and the place was lovely. We had the honeycombed room, 2 queen size bed, sofa (size of a twin bed), 1 t&b (hot and cold shower) with an ocean view, dining area, terrace; also with such an amazing ocean view, cable tv and refrigerator. Along with the package is a free breakfast buffet for 4 (since we're 4), amenities, wiFi. Truly spectacular! We got the promo package from Agoda or you can also check the rates there, just click the link ---> Agoda:Bohol Bee Farm
Squid, Organic Salad, Red Rice (top) squash bread (bottom) BBF menu (right)
Squash bread, mango and pesto spread
Chicken with Organic Salad and White Rice
Foods here in Bohol Bee Farm are definitely a must-try, all organic foods directly grown from their gardens. Super love their salad with balsamic green dressing, squash bread along with mango and pesto spreads, papaya-banana juices, almost anything on the menu is to die for. Bohol trip wouldn't be complete without trying BBF's delicacies. They also have honeys fresh from beehives, which was our syrup for our waffles when we had breakfast.

One of the famous organic foods here in BBF is their ice cream. They have different kinds of organic flavors, I recommend you try malunggay, it is by far the most healthiest leafy vegetables and turning it into ice cream? Talk about eating healthy everyday right? How I wish they have a branch here in Manila coz I would definitely have this everyday.
Should have bought Malunggay and Durian instead of Avocado though. Price per scoop is at 40php.

Would love to be back here again since we didn't get the chance to tour around the farm, :(

Rio 2 - An Amazing Movie for the Whole Family

So we've watched Rio 2 at the cinema last night along with the boyfriend and his whole family as a bonding for his upcoming birthday. I know it's too childish but hey we have kids with us and we'd rather be with the whole family instead just the two of us.
If you have seen Rio's 1st movie on 2011, it is about the story of a macaw an endangered specie blue bird who lives in a town with his owner Tulio. Blu then meets another same specie as him named Jewel which was owned by Linda and then they started to have a family which then continues to Rio 2 where the two macaws finally had a 3 broods name Gabi, Carla and Tiago. While Linda and Tulio were out somewhere in a forest miles away from Rio in an adventure they suddenly captured something on video a flying macaw nearby. When Blu and Jewel found out about the news they whole flock decided to find Tulio and Linda so they can also see for themselves that they we'rent the only macaws living. Through Blu's GPS they soon found Linda and Tulios' location leading them to the hidden sanctuary of their other species. There Jewel found his long lost dad and her other families and soon cope up with the others making Blu feel so left behind since he grew up in a city not knowing anything in the jungle.
Loggers then came to their forest cutting down any trees that comes along their way making the flock startled as it is the only place they've got. So the whole team gathered together to save their forest along with Tulio and Linda to protect the whole flock.

So this is a just a short summary of the story about love, family, friendship that the whole family has to see. Plus the music makes it more better for everybody.
